With the development of national economy, the number of automobile rises quickly and the service level and efficiency of coherent industry must acclimatize themselves to it. At present, management of most parking lots depends on manual work which is inefficiency and complex-personnel and cannot satisfy the demand of modern parking and management. The parking lot intellectualized management is the development inevitable trend.The author has designed a set of automatic parking lots management system which implements efficiency and scientific management of vehicle entrance-exit control, berth retrieval, expense drawing-in and vehicle recognition with contact-less IC card, the computer network, video monitoring, image recognition processing as well as automatic control technology.This paper firstly introduces the development, classification and application of RFID technology and layouts the whole scheme of management system of large-scale parking area based on contact-less IC card, and then mainly studies the read/write module. It particularly introduces the choice of elements, hardware circuit design and antenna design and makes sure the reliability of RF identification. For the software, it mainly studies the implementation of contact-less IC card read-write course, the design of communication protocol between read-write module and host computer. For the parking lot's safe management, this system add vehicle automatic recognition module which contains vehicle license plate recognition and vehicle body recognition and makes sure the accuracy of recognition. This paper particularly introduces the basic flow algorithm of the vehicle recognition module.This design completes the design of the parking lot contact-less IC card read/write module, implements the communication with host computer, studies vehicle recognition and implements the allocation of vehicle license plate, character partition and abstraction as well as partial vehicle body recognition with MATLAB emulation.
