With the fast development of electronic technology and the computer technique, the embedded production is used widely in the field of network communicatin, electronic production and industrial control and so on, because of its characteristics of compact shape, compositive fuction, low cost, high reliability and comprehensive applicability, and so on.In the field of modern industrial control, the demand for the industrial control system with the capability of machinery vision is increasing. And for this reason, this paper is focus on the design of the image data capture system, which is based on the ARM Intel XScale PXA255 CPU. And this system is composed of the front-end of CMOS image data capture, capture card, PXA255 system, TFT LCD display, and some other control sections.First, this paper analyzes the function characteristics of the PXA255, which is the architecture of XScale. And according to these characteristics, we build the platform including the hardware and software. And with a view to the application demand, we extend some interfaces.
