The micro angle error between optical coordinate and mechanical datum coordinate of robot vision instrument due to mechanical assembly can be corrected by high accuracy calibration. This paper proposes an automatic optical regulation method for the optical calibration instrument.Automatic control of optical calibration instrument is a development direction for high accuracy optical regulation and measuring. Autocollimator is an important instrument for optical experiment and measuring. This paper proposes an automatic control method for optical calibration instrument with an autocollimator and analyzes the enhancement of regulation accuracy.The thesis is composed of six chapters as following:Chapter 1: The current status and development of automatic regulation is summarized. The content of automatic regulation is also proposed, and the object and task of the research on automatic regulation are put forward.Chapter 2: The task and function of optical regulation system are proposed. The chosen type of major instruments of optical regulation system is illuminated in detail.Chapter 3: This chapter introduces the buildup of motor control system, establishes the mathematics model according to the configuration of electrically driven displacements, and presents the method and step of regulation. At the end the regulation software flow chart is proposed.Chapter 4: The chapter analyses the method of accuracy improvement for automatic control compared to manual regulation. The subdivision of step motor drive can enhance the resolution of motor so as the resolution of electrically driven displacement used for optical regulation si improved. The correction of camera optics distortion and sub-pixel method for image processing can reduce the error of target image orientation for the precision improvement of system measuring.Then the source and kind of errors are introduced and the impact of every error is analyzed. The overall error is composed at last.Chapter 5: The chapter designs for the experiment to check for the precision of system regulation, including the resolution and the repeatability of electrically driven displacement, the angle formed with table-board axis of three-axle revolving table and optical axis of autocollimator.Chapter 6: The chapter sums up the whole thesis and summarizes the problems exist recently and what needs improvement for the future.
