Because of the un-controlled device, traditional rectifier has some shortcomings, such as low AC side power factor, large current harmonics and un-revisable power flow. The PWM rectifier can actively eliminate AC side harmonics pollution of rectifier and increase AC side power factor.To ensure proper operation and optimization of the high-power PWM rectifier systems, the simulation of systems can be performed. The purpose of this thesis is to build the Simulink model of three-phase Voltage Source Rectifier (VSR), which can be use in off-line simulation or real-time simulation. It is very important and significant to design and develop the high-power PWM rectifier system.Based on analyzing the three-phase VAR work principle, the mathematical model of VSR is educed; the block diagram of double closed-loop controlled system for three-phase VSR can be obtained. Based the block diagram, calculating parameter method of current regulator and voltage regulator can be educed. By the method of voltage oriented control, the AC-side current can be transformation into DC current in d axis and q axis. This can simplify the design of PWM rectifier controller. Based on the above studies, the Simulink based model of three-phase VSR is obtained by using switching function concept which able to model converter circuits according to its input and output transfer functions, rather than the circuit topologies.
