The frequency control technique is involved with many disciplinary fields such as electronic, information and control. The frequency control technique can save energy, improve control performance and product quality, and increase yield, so it has got good effect and economic benefit in application. However, people usually ignore the problem of further improving the ability of the frequency control technique in energy saving and reducing harmonic pollution.With the fast developing technology of green energy, an ever-enhanced attention has been focused to the energy feedback technology of converter in the field of power electronics. The converter with energy feedback could not only make energy transfer in two-way, and feedback regenerated energy to grid, but also could regulate power factor to unity power factor, and largely reduce the harmonic pollution of converter to grid.This paper presents a method in realizing energy feedback on the base of cascaded medium - voltage converter. That method adopts the technology of three phase PWM rectification, and rebuild VSR by replacing diode by IGBT. So power cell of cascaded medium-voltage converter consists of three phase PWM rectifier and H-bridge inverter. By using of double closed loop control system can realize energy transfer in two - way and unity power factor of cascaded medium - voltage converter .This paper introduces the basic principle and topology of cascaded medium-voltage converter in detail. Then analyzes the mathematical model of energy feedback system , and introduces the design method of the double closed loop control system.At last, In order to validate the design scheme, the whole system is emulated by MATLAB/SIMULINK. And simulation results verify the correctness of the design scheme.
