In radar or communications, the receiver is of the greatest importance. The development of modern communication technique, microelectronics and computer technology, promote the growth of the radio communications to be digitalized and realized by software. This paper studied teh IF digital receiver based on PCI Bus and Software Radio.The Software Radio is one of the new communication systems which were presented in recent years. The fundamental idea of Software Radio is to establish an open, standard and modular universal hardware platform where the A/D and D/A converter is moved as close as possible to antenna and all of the communication function is realized by software. The aim is to research and develop a high flexible and adaptable communication system. The Software Radio consists of several parts as follow: analog front end, broadband A/D and D/A, digital upper/down converter, high-speed signal processor and so on.With the fast developing of Software Radio and digital technique, it is hoping to build a digital signal receiver based on Software Radio technique in communication as well as radar system. The theory of digital receiver working with Software Radio is fully developed, however, limited by the current technical level, it is difficult to realize RF signal digitalization. Thus, the prevalent choice is IF signal digitalization.The paper begins with a profound analysis of Software Radio theory IF digital receiver technique, PCI bus system. Brings forward an IF digitalization receiver architecture, introduce the power and clock, ADC, DDC, control part CPLD, process part FPGA, data buffer part in detail, gives the simulation of FPGA and CPLD. Then introduces the PCB design, and process SI simulation, gives the conclusion at the end.
