Development Of PXI-bus Embedded Controller

This dissertation gives emphasis on the design of PXI-Bus embedded controller module. The module not only is the manager of PXI-Bus automatic testing system, but also provides the operation platform for the system resource. As the kernel of PXI-Bus automatic testing system, PXI-Bus embedded controller module determines the performance and stability of the system significantly.On the basis of referring to plenty of technological references, the PCI system architecture, the theory of testing controller technology, the whole scheme is discussed in this dissertation after analyzing the principle of the testing controller and the design plan. To improve the performance, stability and utilize the fresh techonology of the computer, the design adopts the Smart Module of the Digital Logic company and makes it the central component of the design. Based on the resources of the Smart Module, this dissertation demonstrates the feasibility of the scheme deeply. In the process of implement, the module extends many interfaces of the computer to provide the operation platform for the resources of the system. According the CPCI specification, the routing method of the PCI and non PCI signals is presented bridging the resources of the manager and the resources of the peripheric module. On the background of the high-speed digital design, the topology of the PCI signals is decided and the routing method of some important signals is caculated. The mechanism is also an indispensable part of this design.In the software design of the module, the dissertation deeply studies VISA library. On the basis of HIT-VISA, the library supporting PXI interface is designed using Object-Oriented method.The actual test and experimental results show that the theoretical analysis of this design is correct, and the design is reasonable and every of the technical qualification is satisfied with the requirements of the design.
