The home in the future will be established on the network. Its goal is that all the information devices can implement intelligent interconnection and share resource. However, at present, the standard of home network isn't unified, it is a difficult problem that how to control them effectively.This paper mainly studies how to effectively control the smart home network based on UPnP technology, and plans to design a universal smart home network controller with a low cost, common family-oriented terminal which integrates local-control and remote-control. The goal is to control the running status of TV, refrigerator, air-conditioner, DVD and other home appliance. The researched platform which smart home network controller will locate is smart phone, and combines the middleware network UPnP. UPnP is short for Universal Plug and Play, and its main feature is to implement smart interconnection by zero-configuration.Firstly, this paper analyzes UPnP structure and its working theory in depth. Secondly, it brings forward the smart home network control model based on UPnP. Then it clarifies porting open source CyberlinkJava from J2SE to J2ME and the design and implementation of smart phone controller. Lastly, a test scenario on a simulating UPnP home network is demonstrated.The creative significance of this paper is that it brings forward the smart home network control model based on UPnP technology, and ports UPnP protocol to J2ME platform, then utilizes smart phone as a controller to manage and control smart home network effectively.
