Chaos is a quasi-stochastic phenomenon appearing possibly in definite nonlinear dynamic systems. Chaos signal has its special dynamic properties such as ergodicity, broadband and noise-like which are proved to be useful for communication. Chaotic synchronization is the key to its application of secure communication. The research of secure communication of chaotic synchronization has become one of hot research fields of the application of chaos.The main content of this paper contains the analysis of chaotic synchronization and application of secure communication. In this dissertation, the main contributions are as follows:1. In this thesis, the research actuality and development trend of chaotic synchronization and its application of secure communication is presented and methods of chaotic synchronization such as drive-response synchronization and adaptive synchronization are analyzed based on the analysis of basic theory of chaos such as definition of chaos, properties of chaos and phenomena of chaos.2. Lag synchronization and generalized synchronization is researched in detail. An approach about time-delay chaotic synchronization with the mismatch of parameters is proposed based on the analysis of coupled time-delay chaotic synchronization. A method of lag synchronization based on observer is developed with the application of the theory of observer. A certain methods of generalized synchronization are analyzed and approaches for constructing chaotically synchronizing systems in the generalized sense are realized in this paper.
