| Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA~[1]) is a component model that inter-relates an application's different functional units, called services, through well-defined interfaces and contracts between these services. The interface is defined in a neutral manner that should be independent of the hardware platform, the operating system, and the programming language in which the service is implemented. This allows services, built on a variety of such systems, to interact with each other in a uniform and universal manner. As software vendors at home and abroad support SOA vigorously, the related things such as ideas, development tools, integration tools, and new programming models of SOA begin to sprout constantly and are working up to maturity. And SOA is gradually acquainted by domestic enterprises.But SOA is not a simple architecture. From the moment an enterprise knows SOA to the day when this enterprise implements SOA successfully, many problems need to be tackled, many related strategies and methods need to be properly worked out, many adjustments need to be made concerning the involved organizations and employees, and proper SOA methodology and programming methods have to be used to turn such an application system into reality. And we expect this system to be able to decrease costs, to improve the management, to quicken development and deployment of applications and finally to increase enterprises' economic benefits.Under these circumstances, only technologies and tools are not sufficient to build SOA applications. There must be proper guiding strategies and methods to help enterprises to build applications so as to meet the needs of future development.
