In recent years, sewage gas explosion occur in many Chinese cities. Apart from citizens'weak sense of environment protection, letting sewage illegally and the aging infrastructure of many cities, one important factor is the out of data traditional inefficient way of hand monitoring, which causes ignorance of sporadic overproof explosive or hazardous gases and possible explosion. For a long time, the monitoring on the sewage gases mostly adopt artificial work mode, so the work is very heavy and the information is always lag. How to automatic continuous monitor and measurement the sewer gases, how to use computer to monitor and measurement it distributed and on line, make the flammable gas in the sewer network reach to safely standard, Which becomes an exigent demand to prevent explosion and protect the environment against pollution.According to the principle of the material thermal conductivity feature, this paper design a flammable gases measurement system based thermal conductivity sensor for gases , which can measurement continuously and automatically.This paper devises a flammable gases concentration in sewer network remote measurement system. This system has realized multi-point measurement online, can remotely control the measurement equipment, and the measurement equipment can be controlled by the short message from mobile telephone. It can also used in other sewer gases online remote measurement system by use different gas sensors.The author has made in-depth research in the following:1. Fundamental monitoring methodology of sewer gas and the design of monitoring device for flammable sewer gas.2. Overall layout of remote monitoring system, and on-site monitor unit.3. Application of PDU mode for SMS(short message service)in Chinese to realize the friendly interface with the on-site monitor unit.
