With the fast development of computer and internet technology and promotion of the information construction, Management Information System (MIS) is required more and more in every field. The population of Web application technology especially accelerates the implementation of MIS in every field of the society. But in another hand, there is not a unique standard of the development of MIS, and the fact causes a large labor waste and does not meet the standard of software engineering. This paper brings forward the conception of database common platform based on the software reusing, system maintenance and the current situation of MIS.From the view of reusing, this common platform can accomplish most database operation in the MIS, so this platform can be designed to be an independent component, which can be applied to MIS of various fields. And it can accelerate the development of software system. It also can improve the consistence of the software and accomplishes the goal of analysis, design and code reusing.From the view of system maintenance, the frequent changes of the services and client requirements may cause the update of the whole system. The traditional design pattern may cause the change of source code. That results in the great workload of maintenance and system instability or even crash. The new design pattern is needed to make the MIS more flexible and common. Furthermore, the customers can define and design by themselves. So that it can avoid the unnecessary change of MIS programs and reduce the workload of maintenance.Based on the above two views and research of the most advance software...
