Researches On Mobile Management Technology In WLAN Network Based On IPv6

In those days, wideband wireless technology and IPv6 technology have become the hot points of the whole telecommunication market and research field. How to integrate IPv6 and wideband wireless technology to supply broadband services is the issue we endeavor in.First, this paper introduces the background of the task and the aim of research, then analyze the network WLAN, this including many kinds of key technologies, for example, topology, OFDM, 802.11 seriels protocols and so on. It also gives simulations on OFDM system and analyzes modulation technologies, makes some conclusions on the advantages and research points of WLAN.Following the above, the paper detailed the mobile management technology in WLAN based on IPv6 technology. This includes authentication, authorization, handoff, roaming and management of users, especially in handoff aspect. I have deep research in this field. This paper analyzes the algorithms of handoff in data-link layer and network layer and the improved method.Based on the above researches, a new hybrid handoff method has been brought forward for WLAN in the next generation with IPv6. With this method, WLAN have low handoff latency, reduced packet loss and higher QoS. In the last, it gives some suggestion on future work.
