VISC is a kind of newly developed subject in the 1980s. It is based on Computer Graphics and Image manipulation technology, and the calculation result will be changed graphics image, which is displayed on the screen for interactive processing. It greatly improves the process speed and quality of calculated data and realizes the modernization of scientific tool and environment. In the field of VISC, volume rendering is an important research topic, which has much research value and future application.In this thesis, Firstly, it offers a detailed introduction about the relevant content of volume rendering, including the concept, characteristic, optical model, approximate combination equation and the process of volume rendering. Secondly, it describes several typical and common algorithm of the volume rendering, and concludes their improvement .Mean while, we analyze and evaluate their performance, and get the effective method of reducing computation cost of resampling to improve the efficiency of the algorithm. Then, based on the content mentioned previously, we get the common idea of volume rendering speeding from both algorithm and hardware according to analyzing the processing of volume rendering. Finally, it presents a high speed volume rendering algorithm based on correlative cell projection , and apply this method in the medical image development ,we achieve the good quality and quick speed result. During the development we used VTK calss-package, it improve our exploitation and improve the arithmetic efficiency. |
