This thesis focuses on the volume rendering of the scientific computing Visualization and deeply discusses the volume rendering algorithm. In this thesis, the emphasis is on the volume rendering of the regular data field and it researches one special algorithm which is related to the growing process of a plant. At first , it discusses the basic concepts and theory of the volume rendering , then discusses different kinds of algorithm nowadays, compares and analyses their advantages and disadvantages; Secondly, this thesis researches volume rendering algorithm of the regular data field in detail, discusses how to speed up the algorithm in the regular data field and introduces the relevance cell projection algorithm which is used in this thesis including its basic thought and implement process; At last, the thesis researches a rapid volume rendering algorithm using relevance cell projection, computing the temperature data set in which the plant exists, which makes the volume rendering get into practice. During the implement process of the algorithm presenting in this paper , it uses the present graphics platform and simplifies the implement procedure so as to improve the efficiency greatly.
