The Research And Implementation Of Hyper-performance Backup In VLDB

The thesis takes the task to design and implement a backup system of an actual VLDB system, provides a policy which improves the efficiency of search and data access. The backup system is above of Linux and Oracle, makes use of middleware technique and Client/Server model which guarantees the system's integrity, consistency, flexibility and scalability. And a strict system test is carried on to the backup system.By the practice of design and implement a VLDB backup system, the thesis mainly completes the following works:Carry on the research to the existing VLDB technical, analyze various merit and shortcoming, then design and implement a practical VLDB backup project, and take a strict system test to the backup system.Study the control of backup granularity and demarcation criterion, and divide backup data to satisfy the system requirement according to backup window and system stability.Study the tablespace backup, take the comprehensive advantage of the physics backup and the logic backup, implement high-speed backup of large scale data.Put forward to break-point backup method, adopt the small mistake return to the way for roll back , making the backup process be able to restart from the failure place, shortening re-backup time.Study and implement parallel and caching method to improve the efficiency of backup process from storage to tape, and apply in the backup system.Study and implement the integrate backup, unify management and scheduling process of backup data from caching storage to tape.
