With the astronautics technology development and the space mission operation internationalization, various countries have planed to connect their telemetry and control network together to support operate mutually. Recently, the overseas astronautics telemetry and control networking technology was already mature and the system equipment was perfect. While various countries′telemetry and control system mostly used CCSDS (Consultative Committee for Space Data System) protocol to connect the network mutually and share the network resource. Compared with CCSDS standard, our spacecraft data system is under-utilization of channel and the transmission is complicated. The system also cannot use the data with the international general astronautics system each other. So we need to study the development of CCSDS standard. At first, the structure and key protocol of CCSDS and CPN (CCSDS Principal Network) is introduced in this paper. Then the issue of CCSDS application is discussed and the strategy is put forward. This paper also studied the international space station CCSDS service and the correspondence link. Based on the study of the international space station CCSDS application, the author designed a space data system example. The CCSDS standard is employed in this example. At last, the author carries on the simulation to the CCSDS telemetry protocol based on the OPNET simulation platform and focuses on the telemetry packet throughput performance. According to the academic research and simulation, how the packet length, frame length and with or without RS code can affect the throughput performance is discussed. The research and simulation fruit is useful for future spacecraft data system design.
