The Research And Implementation Of Database Grid-oriented Data Integrating And Query Technology

Data Grid is a developing technology, which provides an effecitive solution to uniform access, transfer and management for geographically distributed mass datasets. Database Grid is a kind of Data Grid mainly for integrating database into Grid environment and providing effective publishment, access and administration for distributed heterogeneous databases resources. Nowadays many reseachers explore the Grid technology to solve the database integration and sharing problem.In this study, the similarities and differences between Database Integration and Database Grid are compared. The key problems in data integration of Database Grid are expatiated and service-oriented query is studied. The XML (Extensible Markup Language) as the universal data transferring format is very important in Grid and Data Grid development. This paper discusses the application and function of the XML in data transferring, data view and data query. An XML-oriented data integration model and data transformation approach is proposed, and then an new approach to construct Database Grid uniform user view is given. The dynamic is one primary features of the Grid, so the query problem in Database Grid is very challenging. In this study Adaptive Query Processing is introduced and XML-oriented Second-query approach is proposed.Then our own GridDaen-DAI are introduced. This system can integrate large-scale and heterogeneours datasets in databases resources distributed in wide area environment. It implements global naming schema and provides global user view and uniform data access services. It adopts distributed and independent multi-server technology and server register mechanism, so it can be deployed flexibly and with high expansibility and availability.
