In this thesis, the design and implementation of communication countermeasure simulation system based on HLA/Simulink are investigated with the background of link simulation system for communication countermeasure system in field operations and with the assistant software of KD-HLASimulink toolbox. The simulation system includes waveform level simulation models of main entities such as communication, reconnaissance, direction-finding, jammer, etc. The function of the simulation system can be extended to offer an effective approach for analyzing and evaluating the efficiency of complex communication countermeasure system.This thesis includes researches on the design of communication countermeasure federation, implementations of constant frequency and FH (frequency hopping) communication countermeasure federations. In chapter 2, basic concepts of HLA and theoretical foundation of federation design and implementation are introduced. In chapter 3, basic concepts and development steps of simulation systems based on HLA/Simulink are introduced at first. Then design of communication countermeasure federation is investigated. The results of object class design, interaction class design and federation design are presented in the form of tables of federation object model and architecture diagram of simulation system.In chapter 4, simulation models of constant frequency communication countermeasure federation and results of federation test and federation execution are presented. The constant frequency federation consists of five federates, which are communication transmitter, communication receiver, reconnaissance receiver, directionfinding receiver and jammer. All the federates adopt complex envelop simulation models. Practice in developing federation indicates that, the federation has good extensibility and reusability.In chapter 5, the complex envelop simulation block diagrams of FH transmitter and receiver are presented at first. Then key techniques of simulation system are discussed, including frame processing structure, FH sequence generator, etc. Finally, simulation models of FH transmitter, receiver and jammer are presented. The influence of frequency excursion on performance of multi-tone continuous wave jamming is analyzed. The results of federation execution accord with theory.
