Research On Domain Ontology-Based Knowledge Acquisition And Reuse

Ontology is originally a philosophical term. Since 1990's, some workshops on ontology and artificial intelligence have been held in the international computer community. Ontology has become an important method of knowledge representation, knowledge management, knowledge sharing and knowledge reuse by now. It has been widely researched and applied among the fields such as NLP, Web IR, database and knowledgebase management, heterogeneous data intergration, semantic Web, etc. It makes degree of domain knowledge sharing and reuse increased, which the domain ontology-based method analyses concepts of the domains and relations among these concepts by importing terms and concepts of an ontology with explicit meanings and definitions.This dissertation focuses on the research of cultural relic domain knowledge acquisition and reuse. Cultural relic is the information carrier of human history, which records devotedly a mass of tracks of human society development, evolvement rules and historical connotation.
