| Due to the regulation reformation of the securities industry, the trend of mixed operation in the financial industry, the popularization of the centralized trading system, the rapid development of on-line securities transaction, the unified application of information resources, the reformation of the commission system, and the competition from abroad after entering WTO, the monopoly in Chinese security industry has disappeared and the businesses that securities companies provide have also become rich and colorful. However, securities brokerage still remains the main profit source, which makes customer services become the most important factor in the competition of brokerage among Chinese securities companies, and thus promotes the business process reconstruction (BPR) in the whole securities industry both in theory and practice.Based on the theory of service, and the requirements of BPR theory when implemented, this paper studies the processes that securities companies should follow during business innovation and BPR, which are divided into three basic steps: firstly, the existing service level must be guaranteed; then something must be done to improve the quality of service; at last, some innovation about the service content must be done. What' s more, this paper also gives the exact operation method of BPR according to the above three steps.At the same time, the development and innovation of brokerage in securities industry cannot be achieved without the construction of appropriate information management system, whereas flexible brokerage information management system makes possible the development and innovation of customer services. On the basis of all these, this paper puts forward the idea of establishing a general brokerage management platform in securities industry that suits China.
