Research On Design And Implementation Of Educational Resources Management System Based On Learning Object Metadata

With the development of education based on network, The form of educational resources also has been changed: Digital, Multimedia technology, networking is its direction. At the same time, The construction of educational resources database plays an important role in education based on network. At present, There is a lot of difficulty sharing and communicating between educational resources and another, Because construction of educational resources based on network lacks the standard . With more and more educational resources have been created . It is very difficulty to manage, share and search educational resources, if there is no a standard to unify them. Now,technology of network just afford simple way for educational resources sharing by HTTP or FTP. It can't achieve the goal which educational resources widely share through network . So education based on network loses its significance, Only build standard database of educational resources based on web can solve it. The standard database of educational resources should have a standard system which can manage educational resources. The educational resources management system can sustain database of education resources.The system has eight functions: System initializtion configuration, Database configuration checking, Database backup/restore, Editing resource metadata , Importing reource metadata , Modifying resource metadata, Deletingr resource metadata, Querying educational resource. The system can achieve function which describes educational resource by standard mode, distill educational resource through standard mode, release educational reource with standard manner, query educational resource with the same method .
