From the "Top three supplement" in the "4th May" period to in the 1930s', the supplement has been always an impellent in the Chinese modern revolution.Chapter1. Briefly introduction of the history and development phases: Shen Bao, founded by a British man, Major in 1872. In Aug, 1911, Wang Dungen initiate Free Talking, the supplement of Shen Bao, as most of the other supplement that time, Free Talking published literary or recreative articles so as to make the newspaper more entertaining, which, indeed gained quite a few new readers.Chapter 2. And furthermore, it brought up many of youth enthused over literature, who eventually effected the revolution of modern literature and innovation in thought.
