In recent years, because new operation such as video phone and video frequency conference came forth, low rate video communication has been used widely. On the other hand, with the development of embeded system, the product of embeded system became more and more popular. As an application of the embeded system, DSP(Digital Signal Processing) technology also developped quickly. And it has soon been used widely in the field of digital video encoder, because compared with special video encoder chip; it has greater agility and potential of upgrade.In our paper, we firstly summarize the development of low rate video communication, before we implement H.263 encoder to the ADI (Analog Devices Incorporated) evaluation board-----ADSP-BF535 EZ-KIT Lite; we make in-depth research about H.263. In this foundation, we put forward settle project of wireless real-time video send system; and add video collection module and wireless send module to finish out system.The main research objects of our paper are software implement method of H.263 video CODEC and development technology of DSP system. Firstly, we introduce implement detail of every part of H.263, such as DCT, VLC and so on. We also simulated the corresponding algorithm on the PC. During the course of simulation, I made deeply research about H.263. In addition, aim at the characteristic of DSP hardware, we bring forth optimize principle and optimize method via learning of the DSP development system, and we received content results. Finally, we summarize the debug method and experience, and put forward what will do the next step.
