Design And Implementation Of Multimedia Publish/Subscribe System

Nowadays, many institute conduct the research on the publish/subscribe system from varios different aspects at home and abroad. Many solutions and systems are put into use, based on the interactive publish/subscribe moudle. In an early period of using, in the fields of bank, securities and manufacturing enterprises, there are a lot of mature text information publish/subscribe system products based on topics. As the era of multimedia network coming, the implementation of the multimedia publish/subscribe system will produce wide application prospect.This paper focuses on the design and implementations of multimedia publish/subscribe system, including the design of architecture and the project implementation of system. The primary work and innovations of this paper include:1. The design of the architecture of multimedia publish/subscribe system is proposed. Upon the basis of the research of OpenDDS and RTP/RTCP protocol, this paper analyses data format in the pluggable layer of OpenDDS and RTP protocol, where new data items to transmit the multimedia data is added, and specifies the principle of multimedia data transmission from publisher to subscriber.2. The publishing/subscribing function of binary file transmission and multimedia information (streaming media and P2P instant messaging) is realized in the Windows platform. The feasible plan is proposed to realize these functions. According to the test, the optimal plan is selected. The function models are analysed from the structural point of view in the software development. And the interaction is illustrated among the layers of this system.3. At last, the application scene and the working flow of the multimedia publish/subscribe system are analysed. And the GUI design is described at large. This system realizes the information network, which focus on multimedia information. It makes sure that the multimedia information can be processed and distributed successfuly and uninterruptedly.
