In practical engineering, the structures usually exhibits strong nonlinearity coupled with randomness of the involved parameters. This makes it almost impossible to exactly predict nonlinear response of the structures, particularly for the concrete structures. To tackle the difficulty, it is necessary to capture the nonlinear performance of the structures in the sense of probability, instead of purely Virtual surgery is a new subject on the base of the development of modern science and technology, and it is a successful application of virtual reality in medicine. In virtual surgery system three-dimensional scene is constructed to simulate the process of surgical operation. This simulation is a great help for operation planning, reducing the hurt in real operation and training surgeons.Although virtual surgery system has great clinical importance, it wasn't widely equipped in hospital in the past. Two deficiencies of it restrict its application. The first is that the result of visualization in the system was not precise enough and the speed of visualization is too slow for interaction. The second is the difficulty of simulation of section, while without section it is impossible to inspect organs under the surfaces. This research solves all the problems and makes the clinical application of virtual surgery system possible. There were many patients going to the Shanghai sixth people's Hospital. However, not all patients were suit to the VR preoperative program. It need a long time to build the Chinese VR preoperative program data bank. This article was mainly to study the first step.The paper recommended the requirement for the image format convertion, which converting from the CT data source image format to DICOM format. On the basic of analysising the format of the CT data source image in detail and interpreting the DICOM formatfunction, we designed the format convertion software named img2dic2,which can convert the CT source image format into DICOM format. Then we can read the CT source image though DICOM viewer as Xiphoid 0.7. We displayed the basic practice of the img2dic2 software.
