ATM Operation Information System Research

In this article, the author summarizes the main problems in the civil aviation air traffic management system (hereafter called ATM). To solve the problem of ATM informatization which restrict the development of civil aviation, the author analyses.the types and the character of the information of the ATM, analyses the problems in the ATM informatization, then indicate that the main problem is information exploitation and application, which is that the ATM information must be developed and applied as soon as possible. The author analyses the necessary and the feasibility of ATM information exploitation and application according with the statue in American and in Canada. It is the requirement of the social informatization, is the requirement of the development of ATM, is the requirement of improvement the safety and the management level of ATM, is the requirement of the development of information technical, is the requirement to improve economy and social value.The object of ATM information exploitation is to establish the"Air Traffic Management Operation and Management InformationSystem of CAAC" (ATMOMIS).
