Due to the development of the modern industry and the use of nonlinear loads in the power system, the harmonics of the power system have become a serious problem in many countries. It becomes an important studying topic that how to restrain harmonics effectively and economically at present. The most important method of restraining harmonics is to Configuring filters at present. Because of the characteristics of our country economy, the characteristic that multiple harmonic source loads lie in distribution network is more prominent. Aim at this kind of situation, this paper presents the application of the inherent structure theory of network to determining the optimum placement of filters. The foundation of the inherent structure theory is to point out the relationship between the power system structure's changes and the system stats by decomposing the nodal admittance matrix of the power system and using sensitivity analysis. This paper brings forward the method of selecting the dominant eigenvalues, thereby making the calculation simpler. By establishing the different order's harmonics nodal admittance matrixes and computing the corresponding sensitivity matrixes, the candidate nodes of the optimum placement of different order's filters can be derived.Passive power filters is adopt widely because it is simple configuration, convenient maintenance, low cost and etc. The design of the filter parameter is very important to restrain harmonics. On the base of making analysis of the classic of...
