Compact shelving system is a kind of compact container system composed of multi goods shelf densely and joined each other by special tracks. When some particular rows move to proper positions, the channel for loading and unloading come into being. The system is fully protected when all the shelves are closed. In recent years, compact shelving system is used broadly in small scale store unit, such as archives, libraries, and supermarkets, because its small occupied space, easy operation, fireproofing and guard against theft. The current compact shelving systems are mostly manual or electric control with low automation.Large size and informative management are future development trend of compact shelving system that is optimized in this thesis in detail. A new generation informative and integrated compact shelving system for goods flow control is developed successfully.In the aspect of large size design, a parallel compact shelving monitor system is developed which is based on information. The advantage of this system is that, the control of single row body (moving row) is separate, and all the operation, control and status information treatment is based on the message stimulation system of compact shelving control main body (control row). This will increase the reliability and immense expansibility of monitor and control system. Low voltage DC motor (36V) is used in the design of time sharing and speed change startup, which improves the drive of shelf operation, increases electric safety of drive system, reduces drive load of moving row in a further step, reduces the instant load of the system, and satisfied the rigor demand to electric environment of compact shelving system.The informative management demand is depending on directly informative treatment to system physical structure. In this thesis, row main body and interior structure of compact shelving system is mapped successfully to be contents structure of computer system, and store entity interior row and append status information is mapped to be the file system of computer in which database structure is used for management. The informative design structure is simplified, and the informative management is improved of compact shelving system.
