Along with the more complicated industry condition, mechanical and electrical measurement equipment's readily applicability and simplicity has been pressed required by the engineers. Therefore, this article proposes a project of multi-function measurement system for electromechanical system, which uses the readily applicability of USB and powerful DSP chip, an FPGA has been set as backbone for control and signal route. It integrates the two functions of signal sample and waveform generator.The first chapter firstly summarizes the development of measurement and test techniques and research actualities at home and abroad, and introduces some interrelated technical fields: virtual instrument and interface bus. The paper's perspective and design point also be described.The second chapter introduces the measurement system's hardware structure in detail, which include the D/A module, power module and FPGA module, and so on. The anti-jamming design opinions are also brought on.The third chapter mainly discusses the design and realization of FPGA. It introduces programmable logic device and its developing flow. Some modules designed in the FPGA such as the bus control module, centre control unit, data translation and AD sample control module are described in detail. In the last, paper introduces the in-system programming method of FPGA by EZ_USB FX2 chip.The fourth chapter concretely expatiates on the design method of USB system, including designing firmware and developing driver program. The design points of end-point configuration and GPIF design method in this system were presented.The fifth chapter emphatically recommends the designing flow of DSP and the principle of waveform generator based on DSP. Paper focused on the principle of getting the index in a fixed sine table and waveform generator of Chirp, periodical waveform, white noise. In the last, paper also present the ISP method used DSP's serial port.The sixth chapter summarizes the works above through referenced the development tendency of measurement system at home and abroad, analyses the system's shortage and design flaw and brings on next assumptions and expectations.
