The subject is set aimed at developing a new type of measuring instrument which is use to get experiment's data to replace the conventional and mechanical measuring instrument. This subject study meaning lies in adoption software engineering and bus technology to raise accuracy and dependability of the detection system ,the structure, hardware equipment , construction cost and maintenance cost of the system are reduced .The core of the new instrument is microcomputer.Not only develops this paper software and hardware of the instrument, but using the communication with the PC .The development of the instrument includes two parts: the software and hardware. We use the AT89C52 which belongs to the MCS-51 series single-chip microcomputer, as hard ware kernel. We extend related circuit and interface with AT89c52, also consider various kinds of anti-disturb measure to reduce the cost of hardware and to improve the instrument's reliability in addition to the basic function request.The development of the communication includes there parts: the hardware the instrument's software and PC computer's software. The data is transmitted to computer by isolated RS-232 interface. Author explains the self-defined serial-communication protocol in detail in the paper. The disposal software of data acquisition is developed with Visual Basic 6.0.This system has distinctive modularity function, strong communication ability and change-error ability.The particularity communication protocol ensures communication and total system. The all kinds of anti-disturb measures putted into practice ensure the total system's work in gear.
