Design And Application Of The IP Controlling Gateway Based On PBNM

The paper firstly introduced the idea of Policy-Based Network Management (PBNM) and the significance of its realization in the campus network, and put forward to the object and assignment of the task; Then aiming at the need of users and existing environment of software and hardware, the paper put forward to the optimized scheme, after analyzing the total system; Then the paper dissertated the design of total system structure and related technology in details, introduced the flat roof of hardware and software needed by exploiting the system, explained the several key technology of the system's realization, and narrated the solution of it's safety. At last, some functional tests of the system were been taken, and the test results were analyzed.This IP controlling gateway system was some integrated, which based Linux system, and developed by GCC. While developing, the system adopted the theory of PBNM, and managed by policy, all policy can be realized within the system kernel. The advanced exploitation technology was also absorbed during the developing, which effectively ensured the stability and efficiency, quick speed of response and management conveniently. The results of testing by the net showed that the capability of system was steady.
