In recent years, while the embedded system developing fleetly, the Asymmetry Multi-Processor (AMP) hardware platforms also come forth. Without any suitable OS supporting, it takes a long time to work on the hardware, and causes hardware system's stagnancy. Based on this point, we aimed at building an OS for AMP platform. During our research, we did our work in analyzing such an OS, built a real OS on TMS320VC5471, and also verified it with an experiment. At first, we designed a frame for AMP system. It can not only easily manage and use every hardware resources that connected to different processors, but also act in high performance. Further more, here we also explain what type of hardware platform are needed running such an frame, the structure and some other characteristics of the frame.Secondly, to actualize this OS on TMS320VC5471 is also a part of our work. There are two processors on this board, ARM7TDMI on the ARM sub-system and VC5471 on the DSP sub-system, having different resources.
