With the advance of technology,legacy voice communication could no longer meet people's needs which are eager for visualized video communication. As one video service of above mentioned technologies, video phone is increasingly being widely used and will take a leading role in modern communication wave. Video phone system can be definded as follows:system devices has such function- individual or groups transmit voice and video data on bidirection through transmitting wire and multimedia devices to implement instant and interactive communication, achieving the purpose of talk. At meantime,network video phone,one of its branches,show up. Network video phone, is also called IP technique based network visiualized phone. It depends on broadband transmitting network and IP terminal to act as carrier and is a kind of new telecommunication service platform which integrates voice and data. It utilizes multimedia technique to transmit information such as visualized images,voice and data,etc and provides a multimedia communicating method through integration of audio,video and data,etc. Albeit IPv4 based technologies of video phone is almost mature, the traditional IPv4 network has to be evolved into IPv6 based one due to its inherent disadvantage and limit. Hence, how to implement video talk in new network has turned into a focus of relevant research antenna.This paper implements video talk based on TCP/IP protocol, sockets based technique, DirectShow and VC++. Firstly, it analyzes the principle of IPv6 protocol as well as technique of video phone, then dicusses the method serving for migrating well developped technique and application of IPv4 network to IPv6 context.This paper introduces the concept and structure of DirectShow development framework, explains why it is adapted to application and evolution of modern multimedia techniche in terms of development and performance. The paper proposes a general design scheme, which implements functions such as gathering, previewing and encoding/deconding by utilizing PC and network, focuses on its implement process as well as relevant main points under this framwork, designing interface and Graph Filter layers in detail. The sound effect of application is demonstrated through experimentation. This paper implements transmission of audio and video data in IPv6 by means of Winsock programming in network communication module.
