The Research Of Input Technology In Integrated Services Terminal

It is an irresistible internationalization trend that the Broad-band Integrated Services are provided for consumers. The Integrated Service Terminal(IST) takes the analog TV set as a display and assembles several technologies such as Family Gateway,Digital TV,and IP Telephone etc.It promises widely applications for its services of Analog TV, Digital TV and Broad-band Data Communications etc.Its input controller must have some functions,such as command-operation,character-input and mouse-control,in order that it can work as computers partially.Nowadays,all kinds of tele-controllers in the market cann't match the requirements of IST in the aspects of functions,cost and performances.Therefor it is very essential and urgent that starting the research on IST's input technology.This paper analyses the IST's needs to the input device in the aspects of functions, operations and cost.Considering the great processing power and the abundant storage space of IST,the processing power and the storage functions should be put into the IST and some functions should be implemented by software in the result of hardware simplification and cost reductions. This paper presents two configuration schemes,high-cost scheme and low-cost scheme,to achieve the needs of different consumers.This paper emphases on the high-cost configuration scheme.This paper has been very researched on the module implementation of the input controller and brings a series of improvements aiming at some questions during the research.There is no adequate communication protocol for the wireless communication system of the input controller.Hence a new communication scheme is presented.To reduce the cost of the input device, many low-cost design measures of hardware and software are adopted based on the single-chip processor LPC932.Aiming at the shortage of the diphase-code decoding algorithm, Timing Scanning Decoding Algorithm, a new decoding algorithm, Interrupt Timming Decoding Algorithm, is presented for its predominance on anti-jamming, code error rate and CPU holding time.The keyboard design represent some characteristic of full-functions,little keys and operation facility.
