Study On The Classification And Coding System For Data Set In National Medical Scientific Data Sharing

This study is one of essential parts in construction of standardization system, which is the sub-project of National Medical Scientific Data Sharing (NMSDS), and also an important part in NMSDS project common data standard series. The purpose of this research is to explore NMSDS data set classification and coding standard with the practice in medical field, in order to provide essential basis to Medical scientific data classification and coding standard.From long time, large numbers of scientific data have been accumulated from extensive sources, including: 1) the continuous and systemic original data observation, inspection, investigation, experiment and so on, 2) commonweal scientific data, 3) historical data in medicine and sanitation, 4) scientific research data form large-scale study projects, 5) secondary data processed following the demands. However, these scientific data are lack of systemic organization, arrangement and standardization. Hence, the key points for NMSDS project are mergering the data with common character and coding them with certain symbol system, so as to manage them more effectively.The methodology for NMSDS data set organization is classification.
