With the rapid development of economy and technology, the flexible of the rapid growth in demand, this set higher to traffic management requirements. People have researched and developed the Dedicated Short Range Communication (DSRC) protocol, which is used to solve this problem to provide reliable communication between the road and the vehicles. The DSRC system is a wireless communication system which can bidirectional transmit useful data and traffic information between the road and the vehicle and provide a dynamical and integrative plane about vehicle information.The purpose of this thesis is to explore the designing idea, content, and realization mechanism of data link layer of DSRC protocol. On basis of exploring, data collection and real-time response are designed to be used to solve the key problem in data link layer of DSRC protocol. The designing idea and realization method for the LLC management, LLC type 1, LLC reception of type 3, LLC transmission of type 3, MAC management, MAC control, MAC management-service, transmission and reception modules are also introduced in this thesis.
