The Design And Implementation Of Dynamic Port Protocol Based On Network Processor

At present, the security of networks has became the problem that internet user must face. Firewall is the most used technology in network security. But, the traditional firewall technology has some disadvantage impact on network performance. Developing firewall based on network processor, we can achieve the firewall technology flexibly for the network processor's programmable features. At the same time, the network performance can be good meet for the linear processing speed. In a word,the firewall based on network processor can provide much better performance and security for internet user.Generall protocol can be good used in firewall,but we must do some speciall handling on dynamic port protocol because a completely service often needs to set up serval links.The Firewall developed in lab has the ability to support dynamic port protocol which can meet with the requirement of trusted user access to untrust network under FTP. Archive the support of dynamic port protocol is the paper author's main work in this project.The paper divided into three parts:The first part includes Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 which is about the theory of this project. In this part, the knowledge of network process and the core technology of firewall are explained. It also introduces the character of dynamic port protocol.The second part includes Chapter 3.
