Now short-distance wideband wireless access technology has fast developed. Ultra wideband (UWB) technology has opened to the civil area and been accepted in the Wireless Personal Access Network (WPAN) for its wide band, high data rate, low power and low cost. What's more, many communication companies have paid much attention to it.But there is no integrated MAC protocols for WPAN used UWB as their physical layer technology. All the existing MAC protocols, including IEEE 802.11 and IEEE 802.15.3, can not support multi users to share channels efficiently. Thus, the efficiency of the wireless resources can be greatly influenced. Therefore, it is important for the WPAN used UWB to design a more optimum MAC protocols, which can make full use of channel resources, reduce time delay and improve through output for low cost.
