Turbo codes, which proposed by C.Berrou etc. in ICC'93 are a class of powerful channel codes. It utilizes the condition of random coding and decoding of Shannon noisy channel coding theorem and has obtained the performance near to Shannon theoretic limit. The performance of turbo code is the best one in all presented coding methods. The present of it is viewed as landmark in the development of the theory of channel coding. In academic fields, turbo codes not only have excellent error-correction performance, but also provide a way to theory limits. So the principle of turbo codes and its application become a research hotspot. It is believed that the wireless MIMO technology will be one of the key ones that realize the high-speed broadband wireless Internet access networks in the future and has wide application prospect in the third generation (3G) or beyond third generation (B3G) mobile communications. So we proposed a new Turbo-MIMO receiver scheme.Equalization and channel coding are the main techniques that improve the performance of wireless communication system. Because inter-symbol interference (IS1) in communication is similar to convolutional encoding, the concatenation of a convolutional code, an interleaver and ISI channel is similar to a serial concatenated convolutional code. So at the receiver we can equalize and decode jointly using iterative method as decoding a serial concatenated convolutional code. That is turbo equalization. The main content of the dissertation includes:1. The principle of coding and decoding for turbo codes, including PCCC, SCCC are discussed; based on the introduction of the modified and simplified MAP algorithms on AWGN channel and Rayleigh channel for turbo codes, multiplicative and additive SISO decoding algorithms adapted to general iterative decoding are derived. Then the effect of different parameters to the performance of turbo codes is analyzed. The parameters include generator polynomial of component codes, interleave length and the...
