This article mainly discusses the design and implementation about a long-range host computer performance information monitoring system, which based on Client/Server mode. This system is designed and developed for some telecommunication operator specially. It is designed to monitor the physical equipments of telecommunications in real time and objectively. It can also arrange and manage the state of the equipments correctly. This system adopts traditional C/S framework. It uses the IBM's MQ communication mechanism to communicate between the front Client and the back Server. As a real-time monitoring system, It's server end also can gathers the real-time data through SNMP voluntarily. This article first analyzes the current development situations and application backgrounds of monitoring system, and then describes the key technology using in the developing project and each function module in the system. The whole host computer monitoring system adopts the open, hierarchical, object-oriented architecture. The client end uses java programming language. Because of java's platform-independence, it is convenient for customers to install the client program into different of operation systems. Server end adopts C++ programming language to guarantee the efficiency and flexibility of programming of server end.
