Research Of Technology For Data Import And Export In Management Information System

The rapid development and application of Internet/ Intranet and the data base technique, has increased the efficiency of every department. Meanwhile, during the usual daily work, there also accumulates heterogeneous data source due to the application of different database. Therefore, the realization of the transformation, sharing, visual display of these data appears as practical problems for each department.This paper, which backgrounds from a information management system of a certain governmental department, makes a thorough research into the input and output of the heterogeneous data source, analyze the fundamental principle and realizing technique of data-transforming technique based on four different ways of date base access techniques, including ODBC,OLE DB,ADO and ADO.NET, compares the pros and ops of every kind of these techniques. This paper investigates three different data-transforming tools, including DTS, SQL*Loader and DataPipeLine, compares the pros and ops of every kind of these techniques base on our case.This paper also makes a thorough research into data transformation techniques based on XML and integration between XML and relation Database, give a method of data input and export base on XML. Make a research of use and integration of technique for OFFICE automatization in MIS, completed data-export from RDB to Office .A systematic design is completed with the requirement of the clients into consideration, as well as a realization of the data base source's backup, transforming and the date output and input to various Office software.The technology discussed in this paper has been successfully applied to the information management system of some government department.
