With development of military transform, army need precise, efficient and reliable logistics, powerful decision-making tools become more and more important than before. APLN-PDDSS is such kind of tool set. APLN-PDDSS(Physical Distribution Decision Support System Based on Armed Police Logistics Network) is a special decision-making tool set designed for Armed Police,it's used to optimize physical distribution process by decision-making model. This thesis discusses issues concerning design and implementation of APLN-PDDSS.Firstly, based on analysis in tendency of military logistics, researches in logistics network and requirements of Armed Police, this thesis present the architecture of APLN-PDDSS. The key problem in APLN-PDDSS is decision-making model, this thesis established a private Logistics Network model for Armed Police named APLN, then established a series of decision-making models based on APLN, include a route optimization model, a transportation problem model and a process monitor model, and implement a genetic algorithm for large scale transportation problem.Secondly, according to some well-known design principles such as loose coupling, reusability and easy-maintenance, this thesis developed a design specification based on UML (Unified Modeling Language).Finally, this thesis study 3 key method to implementation APLN-PDDSS: implementation and integration strategy based on J2EE, visibility technology based on SVG, model base implementation strategy based on composite design pattern.
