In the process of oil exploration and exploitation, a great deal of three dimensional seismic data can be collected.According to the three dimensional seismic data characteristic, in the article some essential technology are studied, such as magnanimous data read-write processing, data management, fast and accurate algorithms, high-level visualization capabilities to graphics which includes two dimension and three dimension, dimensional camber stratal surface analysis and application, spatial data volume analysis and so on. To resolve these issues is major research goal. A new data structure and control methods for three-dimensional data object is developed to accelerate visiting rate. The technology of profiles, time-slice, and data sub-volume roaming in three dimensional seismic data has achieved. With this technology, the new methods that interactive stratal surface interpretation guided by profiles and data sub-volume and that interactive fault interpretation guided by profiles are realized. By using of three dimensional volume visualization advantages, explorer may improve effect of vision and highlight unusual aim through adjusting color, transparence, orientation of light. Explorer not only can observe exterior characteristics of data volume, but also can clairvoyance interior structure.
