Research And Realization On Visualization Of Network Management System Based On VRML-Java

With the scale of the network enlarging, the quantity of the network element increasing daily and the connective relationships between them being more and more complex, one of the important problems of the network management is how to show the complicated network to the user directly and clearly. To show and manage the massive complex information conveniently and quickly becomes the bottleneck of the 2D user interface. The static HTML homepage has not been able to satisfy the demand of the user, which prompt people to begin to research the 3D GUI so as to strengthen the visible effects of the information. Using VRML technology may simulative topological structure and operation status of the network effectively, and offer the means of convenient information enquiry, setting the configuration parameter of the network equipment and showing the network operation status.This paper is on the basis of computer network management architecture based on Web, gives a visualization model to realize the network management combining VRML and the technique of Java, and the more directly 3D GUI and the good interaction means are provided to the network manager. The paper firstly systematically generalizes present situation and development trend of the modern network management, elaborates the network management technology and its predominance based on Web, and introduces the features of the virtual reality modeling language VRML emphatically.The paper raises the visible plan of the network management system based on Web by means of the superiority of proceeding visul network management using VRML and Java. Subsequently it discusses detailedly the data interface transformation and the technology that VRML visits database during the realization procedure. By the reserach on VRML technology application in network management system, the paper gives a realization method of three-ply network management model as building and designing system modeling, and establishes the corresponding model system. Finally, in terms of model above described, the corresponding network management system is realized. The system canreflect the basic state and the overall situation of the network effectively,check the parameter of the network equipment conveniently and proceed to moitor with statistics by the simple and direct user interface.The paper provides the detailed design and realization of the basic functions that the system should have, including the scene showing (network topological structure and network equipment scene showing and so on) and the data context arrangement. The experiment indicated that the visible modeling of this paper can provide the more direct and easy to understand and analyse interface and good interaction to the user.
