Current Situation And Prospects Of Chinese Minorities' Literatures Research

China is a nation with varieties of nationalities, besides the Hans, there are still 55 national minorities, among them 53 minorities have their own languages,21 minorities have their own words. All the Chinese nationalities have long history and colorful heritage of culture, and created excellent literature respectively. These minorities'literatures are crystal fruits of national culture and precious components in Chinese treasury of nationalities'literatures. Therefore, strengthening the research of minority nationality literatures ,developing and utilizing these valuable resources of literature will be of great significance in prospering the cultural cause of minorities, promoting the national unification and communication among different nationalities, it is especially crucial in promoting the economic construction in the minority regions. My research focused on 279 papers about the study of minorities'literatures that have published in China during the last 10 years, and made a prediction on the trends of minorities'literatures research based on the analysis of the selected papers mentioned above.First, literature metrology is applied in my research in analyzing date distribution, sources, researchers, themes and quotation of these papers. Then the focus is on analyzing the content of these minorities'literatures including concept of minorities'literatures, their values, characteristics and scope. Other subjects, such as discipline construction of nationality philology, ancient books of minority nationality, relationship between minorities'literature and national culture, information source, digitalization, information searches and catalogue of minorities'literatures are also under the coverage.The conclusion of my research on minorities'literatures study reflected in the following tendencies: it developed towards the direction of being more academic; the research on the basic theories and construction of discipline system were strengthened; Chinese minorities'literatures research gradually aroused the concern of the scholars in this field both at home and abroad; research methods were diversified, and cross-discipline methods were adopted. However, problems still existed: minorities'literatures research so far has not developed a mature system of theories for its own; research methods need some breakthroughs; professional research team need to be built; it lack of standard criterion in the operations of research. Therefore, the corresponding suggestions and measures to the above problems should be: strengthening the study of theories; giving more attention to diversification of research...
