The high-speed development especially the Broadband Access of ADSL andFTTX+LAN did not bring corresponding benefit for telecom carrier. On one hand,the carriers increase the access broadband and decrease the expense because of theincreasing pressure of competition. On the other hand, customers use the P2P suchas Bittorrent, taking up a great deal of resource in backbone network. All of it makesthe cost of carriers increase. On the contrary, the ARPU is gradually decreasing. Thetelecom carriers require urgently a new benefit mode to bring along the desire ofcustomers. So the telecom carriers try to develop the service of IPTV, moreover,there are successful cases in the world.After the reform of China Telecom, JLCNC, as an important basic carrier andstock company in Jilin Province, try its best to find new benefit approach. JLCNCdoes the IPTV experience for promoting the value of IP network and has a goodbase for IPTV commercial application. The purpose of JLCNC is to keep theadvantage and become bigger and stronger.Relative to open Internet business, IPTV will be based on a controllable andadministrable platform and need a perfect bearer network. The main business ofIPTV consists of services on demand and on multicast. The subject is to research theconstruction of IPTV bearer network and discuss its perform project of multicast.The author offers the project of IPTV bearer network by comparing differentposition on multicast perform project of IP, DSLAM,ATM with current network.According to the test of experimental network, the author analyzes the result of theexperience and summarizes gain of the experimental network and finds someproblems in it. Finally the author puts forward a kind of prospective layout for IPTVbearer network.The essay consists of five chapters.Chapter 1 Introduction.At first the author introduces the concept of IPTV, including the definition,characteristic and correlative technology. Secondly the author introduces thedevelopment of technology and service about IPTV in the world. At last introducethe origin, the goal and the means of the subject.Chapter2 The back knowledge of IPTV bearer networkThe author introduces the logic structure of IPTV system, generalizes thefunction of Service Support Layer, Content Provide Layer, Network Bearer Layerand Consumer Terminal Layer, introduces IPTV's technology requirement tobearer network.Finally the author illuminates multicast technology and correlative protocol.Chapter 3 The discuss on the multicast perform project of IPTV bearernetwork.Firstly the author analyzes networking structure and service managementmode of the multicast. Then the author discusses the method based on BAS andDSLAM and corresponding perform, analyzes load things of the equipments andnetwork bandwidth based on different methods. Finally the author analyzed theinfluence to multicast efficiency and expansibility in the different access of PPPOEand DHCP.Chapter 4 Perform of IPTV experimental bearer networkThe author introduces the realization of bearer network and analyzes the resultof experience. At first the author offers design target based on the servicerequirement that network not only fulfils the need of nowadays but also meets thedesire for future commercial scale. Then the author puts forward design of theconvergent layer and access layer in experimental bearer network according as thenetwork flux analysis to all layers. Lastly the author introduces the realization ofDSLAM controllable multicast and analyzes the testing result of experimentalnetwork.Chapter 5 Prospective layout of IPTV bearer networkThe author puts forward the prospective layout of IPTV bearer networkaccording by the IP network's requirement of Internet access, NGN,3G and IPTVservice.The subject realizes the bearer of IPTV experimental network by reconstructthe IP network of JLCNC, does a run and test in a limited scale. Then the authoranalyzes results of the experience. All we do will provide good reference to thelarge-scale commercial application of IPTV bearer network and the evolution of IPnetwork.
