This thesis is devoted to the design and realization of the Sichuan Branch China Unicom network transmission management system. With the quick development of telecommunication industry, the network transmission, as the basic network of telecommunication also develops quickly. Every operator has widely-covering, huge-capacity transmission network. During the course of the establishment of the transmission network, due to the influence of various history factors,and now a complicated network has been formed which is in possession of thronged device manufacturers, various forms of transmission production, advanced and developing technologies which are side by side after having structured for decades. Hence, the adoption of uniform multi-manufacturers transmission network management system is imperative under the situation.In this thesis, on the basis of analyzing Sichuan Unicom transmission network management operation actuality and current problems, according to the rules which accord with TMN and Sichuan Unicom general design requirement, the transmission network management system of Sichuan Unicom is designed and realized. Firstly, the limitation of traditional frame, mainstream systematical frame, and the predominance of the adopted multilayer frame construction by this system are introduced. Then in the case of the flow subsyetem of functional application layer, Alarm collection module,performance collection module.config collection module of collection adaptation layer and interferace software for the srever of apartment,aiming at the tasks and requirement of the collection adaptation layer and functional application layer, module -design and flow-design are carried out and meet the requirement of the system general design requirement. At present, this system has been proved successful operation after having been running for long time and passed the elementary test of Sichuan Branch China Unicom.The originality of this thesis lies in changing the traditional method by the transmission device is separately managed only depending on the manufacturer network management system which is impossible to achieve the current situation to realize the multi-factories' and multi-systematic attemperation of resources.
