| In this paper, the switched-beam antenna system was introduced and the characteristic of the switched-beam array was studied. The excellent performance antenna was designed for smart antenna system. The emphasis in this paper was corner reflector antenna with high-gain, narrow beam and low side-lobe. The main parameters of antennas were studied, and a 4×1 corner reflector antenna array has been designed and made for the switched-beam antenna system. Through selecting particular radiation elements and impedance matching network, the bandwidth of the corner reflector array could be expanded to 260MHz. So the narrow bandwidth problem of corner reflector array was solved in this method.This research result can be used suitable for the switched-beam antenna system, and it also provides a condition on the hardware for the optimization of the base station in mobile communication. The research work should provide antenna engineers with some reference data. |
