With the development of the technologies of communication, computer and television , digital TV shows mighty advantage Digital TV Set-top-box (STB) has applied wider and wider as a bridge transiting analog TV to digital one Now customers can receive high quality digital programs, but the demand for information exchange brings forward more requirement for the integration of access terminal The thesis has designed and realized a digital TV terminal access system based on eDOCSIS protocol which integrates both TV and PC functionsOn the background of digital TV access terminal, the thesis firstly introduces the essential theories of digital TV technique and interrelated MPEG-2 standard and DOCSIS standard Secondly, based on the system function requirement, we build an access terminal hardware platform with the CONEXANT MPEG-2 decode chip cx24430 serving as the core chip, which can receive digital TV and connect INTERNET by Cable Modem module at the same timeAfter hardware design, this thesis analyzes the requirement of software and VxWorks is chosen as the embedded operating system , which is famous for its good performance and high reliability In this thesis, we emphasis on the software realization of the audio video decoding part of digital TV STB subsystem and the drive, net configuration part of Cable Modem subsystemThe realization of an access terminal is completed in this thesis, which integrates the Cable Modem and STB functions and meet the demand of design After testing, the terminal works stably and performs well It can act as a domestic information receiver and will have a bright future for applications...
